Goodbye Victoria’s Secret Swimwear

I never thought I’d see the day when Victoria’s Secret would say they’re no longer continuing the production of their swimwear. Wasn’t it only recently when they began those beach/ swim specials for the TV. Cue the models, and tropical paradise that we all wish we could escape to for a little while. Who doesn’t love holidays?

I own three bikin’s from Victoria’s Secret. One that is pink and has that bombshell technology in it to give my boobs that enhanced boob effect. I also own one that’s yellow with little pink pom poms that failed to stay up when a wave caught me off guard in Mexico. I remember laughing at being topless for a few seconds. And my third one is white with gold straps on the back and has never been taken to the beach since being bought in 2013. I learned my lesson that Victoria’s Secret swimwear isn’t really meant for swimming, but more fore ‘wading’ in the water to tanning, and well just looking pretty. Am I sad to see the VS swimwear go? I’m not sure how I feel, but I do know that there’s better bikinis on the market that won’t expose you!

I’ve also heard that the line will be discontinued so that VS can work on their popular active wear line. What are your thoughts on this?

  1. I was on a plane with a marketing group from a Chain Store heading to NYC for work — one of the comments was that people are traveling more, rather than spending on formal outfits. That meant that the “active wear” category is booming….might be the reason for this. Tory Burch started a line, Beyonce started a line, etc.
